To my friends and foes alike,

My purpose in creating Drinking and Thinking was to engage people who might never enter a church building or encounter the message of Jesus Christ through traditional ministry channels. The heart behind the project was always evangelistic in nature—to encourage thoughtful conversation, honest questions, and meaningful consideration of faith, life, and truth.

At the same time, I recognize that as a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God, my personal goals and ministry expressions must align with the expectations and convictions of the Fellowship. In light of that responsibility, I am choosing to discontinue Drinking and Thinking.

I want to sincerely apologize for any ways in which this project may have misrepresented the Assemblies of God or its leaders at any level. That was never my intention, and I regret any confusion or concern it may have caused within the Fellowship.

My desire has always been—and remains—to point people toward Jesus Christ and to encourage them to seek truth with honesty and humility. Regardless of platform or format, I believe the most important pursuit in this life is knowing God and responding to the grace He offers through Christ.

It is my hope that anyone who engaged with this content would continue to pursue God, wrestle sincerely with faith, and discover the life, forgiveness, and hope found in Jesus.

Sincerely,

Shaheen
